Mr. Qaiser Muhammad Khan, Mrs.Zahida Haider and Mr.Sajjad Haider (Late), the founders of BMDL, believed that proper and timely diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. An all under one roof diagnostic service with the name of Biotech Molecular Diagnostic Lab (BMDL) was established in the beautiful historious city of Rawalpindi more than a decade ago.
This brain child of Mr Qaiser Muhammad Khan was not possible without the support of Mr.Sajjad Haider and Executive directors, Mrs Zahida Janjua. Since the day of inception, Sajjad Haider has been a great assistance and immense help in BMDL progress and evolution. BMDL’s main strength lies in use of state of the art technology, in the hands of qualified and experienced team of doctors and technologist on 24/7 basis.
The small and humble setup of BMDL established more than decade ago is now spreaded nationwide. BMDL now has a branch network of more than 3 dozen outlets and mini BMDLs, with a staff of more than 50 doctors and technologist and supporting staff, working day and night to offer the best diagnostics to the patients and doctors. The BMDL is also involved in academic and research activities. It is affiliated with Comsats University Islamabad.
BMDL has the vision to provide health for all through better medical diagnostics.

The molecular diagnostic segment is expected to witness tremendous growth in the near future. Aging population, a concurrent escalation in the prevalence of chronic disease, and the need for detection of such diseases at early stages are the key factors stimulating the market growth. Besides the diagnostic services this laboratory is striving to contribute in Research Activities of scholar and is providing all lab support to the researchers and the help in structuring/designing various research projects based on modern molecular biology techniques. To further facilities research activities in the country; laboratory has planned to provide genotyping, sequencing and karyotyping facilities to other research organizations too in future.
Samples received from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 am to 10:00 pm.
All samples are analyzed on first come first served basis Reports can be collected on time mentioned on receipt during above mentioned Lab hours. Reports can also be dispatched if mentioned at the time of submission of samples. In case of collection points, all samples must be collected not for direct patients. Packaged, stored and shipped to lab according to instruction provided in handbook which is wry important for authenticity of results. Test Charges should be paid on notified rates.
